TIBICO - Study

The TIBICO-Study was initiated in 2009 as an monozentric, non-randomized pilot trail. This preliminary study results were published. After 2011 the study was extended to a multicentered RCT.

 

Primary outcome is the decrease in capillary pCO2 in stable hypercapnic COPD patients. For this purpose patients receive NHF or NIV 6 weeks in a randomized order. Secondary outcomes are changes in whole blood gas analysis, SGRQ, SAE, 6-MWT etc..
